The Stewardship Council (RSC) was established to coordinate the conservation of the 29-mile Wild and Scenic River segment of the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord Rivers. The Council functions as an official advisory committee to the National Park Service on federal permits affecting the rivers’ outstanding resources. The Council also raises awareness of the rivers through events and publications, including RiverFest, an annual celebration of the Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord Rivers, and facilitates efforts to preserve and improve river resources.
The Simones met through the Folk Song Society of Greater Boston and have been performing traditional and contemporary folk music together for nearly 30 years. Don’t be surprised if they toss in an occasional show tune or other unexpected number to shake things up!

Our beef comes from Irish Dexters, a small, hardy breed of cattle known for producing lean, flavorful meat. Because of their smaller stature, their impact on the environment is less than that of larger breeds of cattle. Our pigs diet consists of pasture, vegetables, dairy and grain, all designed to produce healthy growth and lean, flavorful meat. Bulk meat is available to order. Free-range chickens make the best eggs all while helping to control the insect population!

Rene Becker opened Hi-Rise in 1996 with a crew of six, big ideas, and a simple goal: to make staple homey foods better than home-made. He started with bread — using organic wheat, rye, and corn from independent mills — and soon moved to pastries, incorporating extra-rich European-style butter and local fruits for pies and tarts. In store, they offer soups and sandwiches, dinners sold fresh and frozen, and now fresh produce. At the market find their breads, granola, crackers, loaf cakes, pastries, and preserves to bring home!
