Opening day is today!
Welcome back to ABFM, at the Elm Street playground in Acton, for our 14th season! State Senator Jamie Eldridge will once again ring our opening bell promptly at 10am.
Join us for our final year at the Elm Street location as next year, we’ll happily be relocating to the heart of West Acton Village at Gardner Field.
We’re excited to offer a spanking new website and newsletter, both of which will include a weekly current vendor list. Check it out! Or dig a little deeper on the site to view our full season vendor, artisan, community table, and performer schedules. We are excited to host a fantastic mix of returning vendors as well a bunch of newbies, bringing a wide variety of goods to the Elm Street playground for your shopping pleasure.
And something new for our market goers! Each week before the market opens, Revolution Community Yoga will be offering free Yoga classes, on the field next to the market, at 9:30 each Sunday. Bring your mat!
Special Event
The Acton Boxborough Farmers Market is thrilled to announce that on opening day, June 19th, The Silver Unicorn Bookstore (a market partner) has joined with Direct Federal Credit Union to give away 150 books to our market patrons to help us honor Juneteenth.
This generous gift was facilitated through DFCU’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. “Direct Federal is proudly committed to ensuring there is diversity, equity, and inclusion in all areas of our business. We are focused on ensuring that each and every person with whom we interact feels honored, celebrated, and appreciated for who they are. This includes our members, employees, board members, vendors, visitors, and community partners.” (from the DFCU website)
Michael Ferreer and Daniel Nevarez of DFCU will join Silver Unicorn owner Paul Swydan to hand out the books to both children and adult market-goers.
Weather Advisory
We are monitoring the weather closely. Looks like we might have some rain on the way. We’ll be here, ready and willing to serve. We will only consider shutting down the market should lighting and thunder be imminent. If in doubt, check this space on our homepage before coming to market.
