West Acton
Citizens’ Library

“Get Ready
for Winter”
Book Sale

Sun., Dec. 7 • 10am–1pm
21 Windsor Ave., W. Acton

Winter is coming! And along with the holidays, there will be plenty of snow. Luckily, the West Acton Citizens’ Library is holding its first-ever “Get Ready for Winter” book sale.

Books make great holiday gifts for children and adults. They are also an absolute necessity on days when the weather keeps you inside. We have thousands of books from which to choose. Many of them are new or in like-new condition, and at prices ranging from $.50 to $3.00, so you can buy as many as you want! You also get the added benefit, in this season of giving, of knowing that you’re supporting your local library, and that your money will be used to serve your community better. Thank you in advance; we look forward to seeing you Sunday. Happy Holidays!

ABFM + WACL = More Books!

The WACL has been a great neighbor and supporter since the very start of the ABFM. We appreciate that, and we love what the WACL is for the community — an accessible, responsive, welcoming, and nothing-if-not-cozy resource right in the neighborhood.

The ABFM is saying "thank you, neighbor" in a new way this year, through a $200 donation toward the library's collection — with a focus on titles that offer exposure and information to the huge and amazing world of food and agriculture. We'll be working this winter with Jennifer Friedman, the library's director, on choosing terrific additions for the shelves. Be sure to ask for those titles next year when you visit the WACL!

The ABFM Operates on People Power

The ABFM exists because of our terrific vendors; the support of local businesses, organizations, and individuals; the help of the Town of Acton and staff; and the hard work of volunteers.

We need your time and expertise to make this effort not only about buying good food and supporting local enterprises, but also, about community well-being and shared learning.

Want to help? Wonderful! Learn about becoming:

• becoming a business/organizational Supporter here

• volunteering here

• offering ideas or suggestions here

Or, just send a plain old donation to us at:

ABFM, 5 Duggan Road, Acton, MA 01720
