Kristi Twichell, Master Gardener, at ABFM
Stop by the ABFM table to consult with Master Gardener Kristi Twichell, who will be at market to answer your gardening questions. What is a cutworm? Who's eating my basil? How do I build my soil? Kristi will happily help with these or any other garden queries or seasonal gardening madness!
ABFM Family Grows!
We welcome to to the ABFM family Thomas Edward Campbell V (the fifth!), aka Fin! Born to Jennifer Taylor Campbell (intrepid ABFM Coordinator) and Tom Campbell on June 19, Fin was launched at 8 lbs. 9 oz. and 21.5 in. Mom, baby, and Dad are doing splendidly. And in an embarrassment of good news, we also welcome Madeline Marie Watt, born June 16 at 7 lbs. 12 oz. and 19.75 in. to Helen Payne Watt (ABFM Volunteer Coordinator) and Jamie Watt, and brothers Jesse and Sam, who are thrilled to have a lemonade stand apprentice. Sweet peas abound!
Special SNAP Offer
The ABFM accepts SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits. The market is a great place to use SNAP: by shopping for the freshest produce (which lasts longer in the fridge), you get terrific nutritional bang for your buck. The ABFM is sponsoring a special offer for SNAP users: we'll double the value of the first $10 you spend in SNAP benefits at market. So if you decide to spend $15 at market, you'll actually get $25 to spend. [This offer lasts until we distribute the allotted $250 for the season.] Come to the ABFM stall at market for details!
GIVE GREAT ABFM GIFTS!
Or grab one for yourself . . .
The ABFM now has available ABFM Gift Certificates in any denomination you'd like. Stop by the ABFM table and do a great thing for family or friends — an ABFM Gift Certificate. And check out our new 2012 ABFM recycled-cotton bags, ABFM organic cotton T-shirts, and ABFM aprons, available at market!
